1. Scope and our role
This policy applies to the TarangNow website, voice-agent services, messaging integrations and related support. When a business uses TarangNow to communicate with its customers, that business decides why and how the information is processed. TarangNow processes that information on the business's behalf, under its instructions and for the purpose of providing the requested services. The business is responsible for its own privacy notices, permissions and lawful basis for communicating with its customers.
For information collected directly through the TarangNow website, sales process, account administration or support, TarangNow determines the purposes described in this policy.
2. Information we may process
Depending on the features configured by a business, TarangNow may process:
- Customer identity and contact information: names, phone numbers, email addresses, company names and other details provided during a conversation or enquiry.
- WhatsApp messages: incoming and outgoing message text, media or attachments, timestamps and conversation context when the business enables WhatsApp messaging.
- Message delivery and status data: message identifiers, sent, delivered, read or failed status, timestamps, error information, opt-in or opt-out signals and webhook events.
- WhatsApp Business Account information: business names, WhatsApp Business Account IDs, phone-number IDs, business phone numbers, templates, configuration details, quality or account status and other information needed to connect and operate the integration.
- Call-related information: caller and recipient numbers, call time, duration, routing and status, and, where the business enables these features and provides required notice or consent, call recordings and related metadata.
- AI conversation information: prompts, responses, transcripts, summaries, detected intent, workflow actions and quality-review information when the configured service stores or generates them.
- Business-user and account information: administrator names, business contact details, roles, account settings, integration credentials or tokens in protected form, support requests and billing or subscription records.
- Website and technical information: IP address, device and browser information, security logs, cookie choices, pages viewed, campaign parameters and form submissions.
3. Where information comes from
Information may come from business customers, their authorised users, people who call or message those businesses, Meta and WhatsApp services, telephony networks, configured integrations and service providers that help operate the requested workflow.
4. How information is used
TarangNow uses information only as needed to:
- send, receive, route and display WhatsApp messages and their delivery status;
- place, receive and route calls requested or configured by a business;
- provide AI-assisted conversations, transcription, summaries, actions and human handoff;
- connect approved business systems, webhooks, calendars, CRMs and other integrations;
- operate accounts, provide support, calculate usage and administer contracted services;
- protect the platform, prevent fraud, diagnose failures and maintain service reliability;
- respond to website enquiries and live-demo requests;
- comply with law, enforce agreements and respond to valid legal requests; and
- measure and improve the website when optional analytics or marketing consent has been provided.
Customer message, call and AI conversation data is not used by TarangNow for unrelated advertising or to build independent consumer profiles.
5. Meta and WhatsApp data
When a business connects the WhatsApp Business Platform, TarangNow processes WhatsApp customer and user data only on that business's instructions and to provide the requested messaging service. Businesses must comply with applicable WhatsApp Business Messaging policies, obtain required permissions and honour opt-outs. Meta and WhatsApp may independently process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
6. Third-party providers
TarangNow uses third-party providers where necessary to deliver the service. These may include Meta and WhatsApp, cloud hosting and storage providers, telephony carriers, speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers, AI model providers, security and monitoring services, email and customer-support providers, analytics providers and business integrations selected by the customer.
Providers receive only the information needed for their function and are required by contract or applicable terms to protect it. Information may be processed in countries other than the user's location, subject to contractual, technical and legal safeguards applicable to the service.
7. Data sharing and sale
TarangNow does not sell or rent customer data, WhatsApp data, call data or AI conversation data.
Information may be disclosed only:
- to the business customer on whose behalf it is processed;
- to providers and integrations needed to perform the requested service;
- when the business customer directs or authorises the disclosure;
- to protect users, the service or legal rights; or
- when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
8. Retention
Retention depends on the type of information and the business customer's configuration or written agreement. Unless a different period is configured or legally required, TarangNow applies the following standard schedule:
- WhatsApp message content, message status, call content, recordings and AI transcripts: retained only for the configured workflow and normally for no longer than 90 days after the relevant interaction.
- WhatsApp Business Account configuration and business service data: retained while the integration or customer account remains active and deleted or de-identified within 90 days after disconnection or account termination.
- Website enquiries and support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction unless a longer period is needed for an active business relationship.
- Security and diagnostic logs: retained for up to 12 months, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or a security incident.
- Billing, tax and legally required records: retained for the period required by applicable law.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in protected backups for up to 30 additional days before being overwritten.
TarangNow may retain de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify a person.
9. Security
TarangNow uses administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, protected credentials, logging and service-provider reviews. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and businesses should configure access and retention appropriate to their use case.
10. Access, correction and deletion
A person who communicated with a business using TarangNow may contact that business directly because the business controls the relationship and can identify the relevant conversation. The person may also email support@tarangnow.com; TarangNow will verify and coordinate the request with the relevant business where necessary.
Business customers may request export, correction, restriction or deletion of account and service data by emailing the same address. We generally acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to legal, security and contractual exceptions. Full instructions are available on our public Data Deletion page.
11. Website analytics and campaign measurement
With the visitor's choice, TarangNow may use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads measurement and Meta business tools to understand visits, usability, campaign performance and completed enquiries. Optional tags are controlled through privacy preferences. Campaign parameters such as UTM values, GCLID and FBCLID may be associated with a submitted enquiry. If a visitor separately opts in to marketing measurement, normalised contact fields may be hashed before being sent to an approved measurement provider. See the Cookie Policy for details.
12. Children
TarangNow's business services are not directed to children. Businesses must not use the platform to process children's information unless they have established an appropriate lawful basis, notices, safeguards and any required parental authorisation.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect service, provider or legal changes. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page. For privacy questions or requests, email support@tarangnow.com.
